Privacy Policy

Sessions (“we”, “us”) connects music artists with studio engineers for in-person sessions and remote mixing/mastering. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Information we collect
Account data: phone number, name, email (if you sign in with Google), and your role (artist or engineer).
Location data: with your permission, your device location is used to show engineers near you and to set an engineer’s studio location. Engineers publish a studio address that is shown on their public profile so artists can travel to sessions; we do not continuously track your location in the background.
Booking & payment data: session times, deposits, prices, and notes. Card payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
Uploads: for verification, engineers upload ID and work samples. Artists may upload audio stems for remote work. These are stored in private, access-controlled storage.
Usage data: basic device and interaction data to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To operate the marketplace: match artists with engineers, take deposits, confirm and manage sessions, deliver files, send transactional notifications, prevent fraud, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the app: Supabase (database, auth, file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Telegram (operator alerts). When you book, the relevant artist and engineer see the details needed to complete the session (e.g. name, session time, and the engineer’s published studio address).
Data retention
We keep account and booking records while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. You can delete your account at any time (see below), after which we remove or anonymise your personal data except where we must retain it by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK GDPR), you can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact corneliuscl88@gmail.com.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, addresses, uploads, and provider listing. Some booking records may be retained in anonymised form where required for accounting or legal reasons.
Children
Sessions is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes & contact
We’ll post any changes here and update the date above. Questions? Email corneliuscl88@gmail.com.
